Nature walk

I’ve begun to feel a little less tired as I enter my 2nd trimester and figure I should update my blog again! And I’m still holding out hope the nausea will start to get better, but 12 weeks has never been my magic number for ceasing to throw up. Hopefully it won’t last too much longer.

I have a few things I’d like to write about, but for now here’s some pictures from some fun time spent with my little boy last night. We went on a nature walk together while daddy took Alice to a lookouts game. We walked a pretty long walk for little toddler legs. Caleb wanted to go “really far away” and on our way back he agreed that we had. We both had plastic bags in which to put all of the natural treasures we could find. I loved the things he chose to put in his bag and the flowers and rocks he’d see that I didn’t. We stopped at a mulberry tree and picked a bunch of berries too. So when we got home we ate tons of berries, fun fun. Caleb layed out all of his findings in such a pleasing way. I didn’t help him one bit with the balance of color or placement. He just took his time taking each item out and placing it where he thought it should go. There were a few times I’d have the urge to move something over to change the spacing, and just as I held back from doing it he’d move the exact flower I wanted to into the spot I wanted it. VERY strange. I guess he gets his eye for color and composition from me! Yeah, I know every parent thinks their kid is incredibly gifted in some way, and well I think he does have a gift for things like this. I just don’t know many 3 1/2 year olds who would take the time to make something look so beautiful. Ok, I’ll stop now! Enjoy the pictures.
